OIC secretary general condemns Tunisia museum attack


Jeddah, March 19 (IANS/WAM): Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, Iyad bin Amin Madani, on Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Bardo National Museum in Tunisia's capital Tunis in which 19 people were killed.

In a statement, the secretary-general expressed full solidarity with the people and government of Tunisia in countering terrorism and fighting against those aiming to destabilise Tunisia's security and stability.

In Wednesday's attack on the museum, which is situated within Tunisia's parliament complex, over 40 people, including Tunisians and tourists, were injured.
