    We urgently need a Raj Thackarey kind of person in Karnataka especially South Kanara to play a balancing act and control the exodus from other states.

    Resorting to this kind of treatment of children is not justifiable no matter from which state caste creed they beling to. The authorities caught the children and the man responsible for them escaped . What a joke this has been . Publicity stunt by the authorities. Staying in the vishwasada mane will not provide them any education also and may lead to ill treatment of these children.

    @Chetan Thakkar

    Having closely watched Vishwasada Mane for sometime, I strongly reject your ill informed claim, Quote :

    Staying in the vishwasada mane will not provide them any education also and may lead to ill treatment of these children.

    Unquote.

    If you have really visited them, you would have found that all able bodied children are given decent education, mental and physical care, which is possible with the help of philanthropists, while govt., and people who have nothing but bad comments about Viswasada Mane for their good humanitarian work done.

    More help is required to make Viswasada Mane a better place for the needy.

    Photo no.2-5 clearly shows the brutal manhandling of these children as though they are criminals.

    I too have a question like some readers why these young vendors are being treated as child labourers, if they are independently selling their wares in this country??

    They are not child labourers unless they are proven to be exploited by some one with evil motives.

    If the criteria to "capture" child labourers is to nab any child selling their wares then they should "capture" all these so called labourers and rehabilitate them with utmost dignity and honour.

    It is also more amusing that these kids were rushed to "viswasada Mane" which is mostly meant for rehabilitating orphans and destitutes with mental issues.

    If the govt. is so much concerned about these child labourers, why does it not have a rehabilitation plan for them as well??

    Viswasada Mane as many of us know is going through a lot of financial strain, and that too with only unfulfilled promises from the govt.

    Last year I celebrated my birthday with all the inmates there, and was blessed to serve them in a small way.

    During a function, Madhwaraj, MLA, Sorake, Minister, Karnataka promised Rs.10,000/= each, as their personal monthly contribution to Viswasada Mane.

    These Rajasthani Children were independent vendors and beggars. So for whom they were working as Labours ? And they were rescued from whose Clutches? Who was their exploiter? How can they be termed as Child Labours ?
    Whether they will be handed over directly to the Officials of Rajasthan Child & Samaj Kalyan dept directly so that Vasundhara Raje's Govt can provide them food cloth and education ?
    Even in our Mangalore's Central Market and other places many poor local children are working as independent vendors. Can they be stopped under any Law ?
