Bengaluru: We will not protect anybody: CM Siddaramaiah on IAS officer's death

Bengaluru, Mar 21 (PTI): Amid growing chorus for a CBI probe into the mysterious death of an upright IAS officer, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today asserted that the government was not protecting anybody and would make its stand known in the Assembly on Monday.

"We are not going to hide anything. We are not going to protect anybody. We are also particular that the truth should come out," the chief minister said.

He said the state CID, which is now probing the case, was also an independent body like the CBI. "We have to look at the morale of our police also."

"Since the Assembly is going on and has been adjourned to Monday, the stand of the government would be made known on the floor of the House," he told reporters here, as his government came under increasing pressure with Congress President Sonia Gandhi also advising him to hold an inquiry by the central agency.

He said he had apprised the party central leadership, including Gandhi, of the developments.

"But madam has not instructed me to do like this or that. She told us that it is for the government to take a decision and given free hand to the government," he claimed.

Siddaramaiah said he understood the sentiments of the people and of the parents of 35-year-old D K Ravi, who was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his apartment on Monday last.

He said he met Ravi's parents on March 18 and had told them that the government would take a decision after the post-mortem and other related reports are available with it.

"I am making it very clear that the government is not going to protect anybody. We are not going to hide anything," Siddaramaiah said.

"We are very transparent in this. We are also very particular that the truth comes out. People of Karnataka should know the truth," he said.

    # Bande case is now old one. But till today IA has not filed Chargesheet !.. ie, even after a year !.. On Saturday in one channel, statement of bande's wife was shown in this regard.
    # As per her statement if she was asked to come & give statements, on here presence she was told the statement is not required. Is this the way of investigation ?... Only prolonging time.
    # Recently one Seer was framed with a Countercase, & the investigation was done by same IA. Even AG had told that he would submit Chargesheet with a fortnight. Now its over 3 months. Again no filing...but only prolonging time. Again nowhere the Blackmail case was mentioned which was the original one, & here too no reports filed till today, either Chargesheet or B Report.
    # In Nanditha death case of Thirthahalli, the story was twisted many time & finally the culprits got escaped.
    # & Now, this IAS officer death case. The same IA is investigating. What's next....God only knows.

The 'Home' under whom this IA comes is under question now !... It's now quite evident as how our 'Home' is using this agency as its tool in depriving the Justice, & saving the Culprits.

Real face of 'George' is unmasking now.

If Sidhu is transparent, what is the problem for him to handover the case to CBI?? He is so crooked that he will handover the case to CBI, when he completes transforming his stories into strong evidence against the Officer DKR. Dear people you have not lost a Yadav or Sidhu, India has lost a dynamic, young, progressive, visionary educated and valuable creator of future India... It must be CBI....without delay....

It takes 10years for CBI to do their in-depth investigate in every case. 10years then for judiciary to complete the legal process. By then, criminals are just about to reach their graveyard. So, Siddu should give it to CBI if there is anything to hide. That way he has better option to relive himself from all the worries.

Jawans killed everyday no one bothers

But this affair suicide become more coverage to media.

Media lost morality because they just telecast news as per the instructions from their masters/Sponsors.

I think people should leave this case to Police and let them find out truth. No need to get hype into this.

You are right. Similarly all the Media is giving too much publicity for single death by H1N1 swine Flu, but they do not give any publicity even if ten times more people die by other diseases, because two multinational companies who manufacture Tamiflu capsules for swineflu give good reward to Media for giving publicity about death by Swineflu. In fact Swine flu is less dangerous than Malaria or Typhoid or even ordinary flu. But there is too much hype on this disease to increase the business of two Pharma companies.

Death of poor children by malnutrition in India is Ten times more than Swine flu. But there is no publicity by media on these deaths by malnutrition even though it is a national Shame that we could not stop the deaths of children by malnutrition even after 67 years of our Independence.

3 years back a young honest IPS officer in MP who was fighting sand mafia knocked down by a sand loaded tipper, the tipper ran over him several times to make sure his each bone was crushed to dust .

The then BJP govt in MP wasted no time in handing over the case to CBI. Even CBI wasted no time in investigation. Finally there comes a report..........The young honest IPS officer committed suicide.
