Kolkata, March 21 (IANS): Four youth have been arrested for allegedly gang-raping two minors they had befriended them on a social networking site, police said on Saturday.

According to police, the youth befriended the two minors on Facebook and after calling them for a meet, forcibly took them to a house and gang raped them on Thursday.

"We have arrested four youth in this connection. Following a complaint by the victims' families, we arrested one of the youths Friday. His interrogation led to the information about three others who were arrested late last night," said Deputy Commissioner of Police Santosh Pandey.

The incident came to light Friday after the two minors managed escape from the house where they were kept captive. They informed their families about the incident following which police complaint was lodged.

Medical examination to ascertain rape has been conducted on the victims, the reports of which are awaited.
