Bantwal: Illegal cattle trafficking - two arrested

Bantwal, Mar 23: On Sunday March 22, policemen from the town raised a spot near Jakribettu here, and arrested two persons relating to illegal cattle transportation.

The arrested are Muhammed Shariff from Puttur Mukve, and Abdul Rahiman from Kedila village.



It is learnt that the accused had stolen Jersey cows from the cattle shed of a house in Beltangady and were transporting the animals from there.

After activists of some Hindu organizations tipped the local police about the act, the policemen went to the spot and made the arrests.

    some cow lovers as they say gau mata why they not asking govt to put ban on beef exporting to gulf , russia and china. they only wakeup when muslims and other people of all religion eat beef.
    beef exporters are not muslims all 4 major co of your own hindu brothers. why can't you go and close their slaughter houses you dont have guts or you become impotent . simply dont make chaos you too have beef let others too coz your vedas and scriptures says to have beef when guest come cut cow and in the marriage of your daughter cut cow (couts from manu smrithy)

    cattle buyers should take note satating the amount name of the sellers with full address and mobile no. and should signature the paper to make it legal. whenever cattle supply caught they its theft and illegal and the buyers have no any evidence to prove. get hitted by moral policing, loss of money loss of cow and go to jail total loss.

    It is the High time to lift all the permits for cow slaughter. So that rising prices of meat can be met. Robbery will stop, Illegal transportation will stop.

    But I am against ban on eating beef.
    I am against ILLEGAL slaughtering of animals (cows included)
    I would request the government to give license to proper slaughterhouse , regulate the sale and STOP all illegal trafficking.

    Only devils & demons can think of killing, and eat its flesh, seeing the blood oozed out from the throat slit of this poor healthy animal , whose only mistake is that it gives healthy milk for us and our children every morning where as actually , it is its calf which deserves that milk. We call them asuras in mythology. They are still present this day. Some slit the throat of a kamadhenu, some of humans/non believers in the name of religion.

    Dear Vikas, stealing a cow that also milking cow shall be punished in the way it should be lessons for other cow theives, but look at the cause of such kind of act, you people doesn't allow to do free trad on cow/calf/buffalo and beef has been consumed by more than 50% of population of our country. Respecting your sentiments not only cow, being a Omnivorous we eat mutton,chicken,pork etc by sliting the throat or any other means its nature when lion kills its prey why we should feel bad when chicken eats insects/worms its life cycle and almighty god has made those animal in that way and thier population will not reduce bcz god has made the universe in that way, while milking you are depriving the calf with its milk, when they destroy your vegi fields you dont show any mercy on them, when they block your roads you don't show the motherly love to then do you.

    I thought there were some differences between you human who behave and animals that destroy crops or blocks the roads. That's why they call it animal. Suppose a cow enters my field and destroy crops, I will chase it with a stick and if get a chance give one or two with that in a hope that it will learn a lesson not to tress pass again. If it blocks my road, either I will honk or again chase it away so that it blocks someone els road and not mine. For both the above reasons I will not put it in a auto rickshaw take to a secluded place tie it's feet take a talwar and slit it's throat.

    And what legal transport or buying u have thought of. We traded a pair of buffaloes last year with another one, transported cow and calf in a open tempo couple of times last 2 years or so from one relative place to another with a letter from police. We don't stuff it into a omni or auto or Nano and transport it. We transported openly. Nobody stopped us but for once but let us go knowing the motive without any trouble or wasting time. Give me one such instances in daiji where the cattle was transported legally and was stopped by BD.

But whereas for any crimes involving the rape of women or the desecration of places of worship, there are no witnesses, no tips and the police don't appear to have a clue as to who may have done it.

    Give a chance to them to prove that, they purchased the cattles...If they fail to prove, then cut their both hands...
    Any one buying cattle, should keep the record of purchase, by taking the photo of the seller with the cattle, and the thumb impression of the seller on the receipt.. If the buyers can not get such records, then they SHOULD NOT enter in to such adventures/ business....

    Christians and Muslims are not 'Athithi's. They are as Indians as we are. They are also as Hindus as we are. Only the difference is their ancestors have been converted to Islam and Christianity. So we are all one. Christians in India now should propagate their religions by decent reproduction and not by converting. Conversion hurts the sentiments of fellow Hindus.
    Similarly, Muslims too should stop supporting terrorism, see to it that Madrasas are not used as terror factories as happened in WB.

    If everyone understands the fellow human being act in no way hurting each other, India will be what Kubla Khan's Xanadu.

    George, here its illegal because those cows are stolen. Look at the cows - the owner might have taken loan and bought them for their daily bread. Those theiefs shd be punished severely. I am against beef ban but do not support stealing cows though they belong to rich or poor. Imagine yourself in that owner's place then you can understand.
