Udupi, March 25: The Udupi Second JMFC court has cancelled the bail of Jharkhand origin drug peddler who is an engineering student for reportedly storing and selling Ghanja to students and public.

The student, identified as Bishal Khan (23), staying in Room No 2 of Manipal Adithi Apartment was arrested and produced before Udupi 2nd JMFC court on March 18 for holding Ganja weighing 610 grams.

Ganja in 50 plastic packets kept ready for sale at Rs 500 each was seized from him. It is said that he was also growing Ganja plants in the apartment.

The court had released him on bail earlier but considering that he was selling drugs to innocent students and public and making them drug addicts, the senior assistant public prosecutor B Prakashchandra Shetty had argued in the same court for cancellation of bail of the suspect.

The court upheld the argument and after cancellation of the bail, has ordered for judicial custody of Bishal Khan.

Manipal Police station PCI Prasad had submitted the first information report to the court under NDPS section.
