Bengaluru: CID erased sensitive evidence before handing case to CBI: D K Ravi's father-in-law

Bengaluru, Mar 25 (PTI): In a new twist to the mysterious death of IAS officer D K Ravi, his father-in-law today alleged that the CID probing it has deleted sensitive evidence before the case was handed over to CBI.

The CID has deleted some of the CCTV footage in the digital video recorder installed at his residence, Hanumanthrayappa claimed.

Facing rising public anger over the death of an upright IAS officer with growing clamour for a CBI probe, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had on Monday announced the government's decision to handover the case to the central agency, saying it had nothing to hide and was not protecting anyone.

Hanumathrayappa, a local Congress leader, said CID had taken the CCTV footage two days after Ravi's death and returned it on March 23 and he was surprised to see some portions deleted.

"Two days after Ravi's death, the CID took away the footage and returned it on March 23. I was shocked to see the footage recorded before 10.30 AM on March 16 was deleted," Hanumnthrayappa told PTI.

On March 16, the IAS officer was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his Koramangala apartment.

Asked to throw light on what could be the vital contents in the deleted footage, Hanumanthrayappa said, "I would be able to tell only after I can get to see the deleted portion."

However, Hanumanthrayappa said he has heard and read in newspapers that the deleted footage shows Ravi shouting over a telephonic conversation to someone at the other end.

Questioning the intentions of CID in deleting the footage, he said, "I want to know why did the CID delete the footage recorded before 10.30 AM on March 16? What is their intention?"
Hanumanthrayappa said he has asked his technician to help him retrieve the deleted footage, which is possible.

"My technician is not in town. He is out of Bengaluru and expected in a couple of days. He told me it is possible to retrieve the deleted video footage," he said.

Asked whether he suspected the intentions of the state government, which allegedly is trying to give a different angle to Ravi's death, Hanumanthrayappa said, "I do not want to comment on it for now because the investigation is on. However, I would make a comment once I watch the retrieved video footage which was deleted by the CID."

    Truth prevails..
let CBI investigate step by step ..every minute ..with fool proof evidence..with all facts .. recordings.conversation.messages..
    CCTV... forensic.. autopsy.. the works..
just like the investigation and crime branch how they perform so scientifically and professionally..
In india we have the Politicians and their stooges in NEXUS...
who want to do what they desire to do at the cost of 1.2 billion indians ,,breaking every LAW on books.
and take what they need ..do what they want to..
who cares for poor Janatha ,they are always at the mercy and at the receiving end..
but now this era.. the Qualified public is more smart and intelligent..if the leaders do not perform..abuse ..misuse..corrupt the position of their seatthen JANATHA will spring into effective and insatnt action.....
so, do not play with sentiments of masses, they allowed you all this while and watched but now on they will ACT..like the Nagaland case...
action and court will come thereafter..
so, no more tampering pr playing..world has changed ..so has India ...

    Points to ponder-
He had claimed DK Ravi had heated argument. If it was not true then how can the footage have that in first place. To cover up his story of heated argument with someone, he has come up with this story.
Why install CCTV inside the house, if the conversation took place inside the house?
At what time he called the police?
Did he took time to dress up the scene of crime? The timing will get revealed from the apartment CCTV & other records there.
Now that CBI in, why he needs to ask his technician rather than give it to them for their engineers to retrieve whatever he claims as d. They will verify it with call records on DK Ravi's cellphone & will get answers from the caller recorded. Here Hanumanthraayppa might get exposed.
It seems he will get caught in the very web he tried to stitch to wriggle out of his abetting the crime.

That didn't surprise anybody?, that's the reason Siddu and his team took so long to hand over the case to CBI. Lot of questions to be answered?, why did Siddu and his chelas visit hospital during postmortem?. CBI should start the case by investigating Siddu and his team to begin with.

This person is deliberately creating stories to come out of the web he has created to deflect the blame from him & his daughter.
What evidence does he have to prove the erasing was not done by himself to blame it on CID. Why he is cozzying up with a channel known for its anti government stance after one of its minister they wanted to trap with a sting stung them so hard its still burning.

There is no control over rents in Bangalore, but there is no one to ask for Tax Evaders & if you dare to ask, you will be another D.K. Ravi. This is the status of Bangalore , a complete failure of LAW.

This seems to be a fixed match played by Congress involving DK Ravi's father-in-law. Congressmen can't be trusted since they are responsible for all the problems prevailing not only in Karnataka but all over the Country. Honest Officer has been killed by the mafias who are ruling the Congress. Many of the bigwigs will go to Jail for sure. Innocent public has been taxed for each & everything, but these goons have been allowed to encroach lands, no tax etc.. 40 crore tax evasion by a company... just imagine how the mafia is ruling Karnataka. Soon there will be change of CM & HM in Karnataka as both of them failed in their responsibilities, giving bad perception to the already Corrupt Congress party.

This case has been already handed over to CBI. Why Mr. Hanumanthrayappa is bringing such type of statements to public domain even if it is erased we can easily recover the data we have lot of hitech laboratories. Let CBI will investigate deeply in each and every corner ultimately truth will come out whether murder and who killed etc. etc..

Sensational work from ZEE..Court blasted UP Govt..next day, 3 officers were suspended..Killer politician was kept in high security isolated cell..Salute to ZEE for taking such a dangerous step..

DVRs have facility to Auto erase as there is limited memory for example 30 day cycle. It may be co-incidence. I do not know how this matters in the investigation as his residence is in Nagarbhavi and the place of occurance of death is Tavarkere (St Johsns woods aptmts) which is easily 15 Kms. I think more crucial evidence should be from the st johns Woods apartments where the cctv footage must be scanned for one week prior and after the incident. One thing we need to keep in mind is both CID and CBI are humans and in some cases very very greedy humans.

sir..one more thing.it is simple commonsense..anyone calls 44 times in one hour to his girl friend ? Average call timinng per call is 1.33 Minute..If he/she calls, then receiver will cut the line..this is my view or any ordinary man's view..CBI have unbelievable officers in their dept. Do you know Amarmani Tripathi case in UP ?(minister murdered poet) CBI trapped him in such a way that whole countrymen were stunned..Murderer destroyed all evidences..but CBI acted on one very simple small clue !! So,here too CM & HM can't escape..Ivru Paatalakke hogi adagi kondru CBI bale beesi ee makklannu hiditare..Devara mele bharavase idi..
