India asks its nationals to leave 'fragile' Yemen immediately

New Delhi, Mar 25 (PTI): India today asked all its nationals to leave Yemen immediately given the "fragile" security situation in the conflict-hit country.

"We are urging and advising our nationals to leave the country immediately through available commercial means," Spokesperson in the External Affairs Ministry said.

While noting that it was the third such advisory by the government, he hoped that the Indians, most of whom are nurses in Yemen, will understand the "seriousness" of the situation and will return.

He added that the government was working with the nurses for their return while putting number of Indians in Yemen at 3,000-3,500 who are living in various provinces including Sana'a.

Yemen is witnessing attacks by Shiite militiamen on the president and other state figures. The rising unrest has fuelled longtime divisions in Yemen, where the government, Huthis, southern separatists, powerful Sunni tribes and the local al Qaeda branch are all vying for influence.

The Indian Embassy in Sana'a had set up helplines to assist the Indians.

clifford..ever anybody heard of RSS outside INDIA..i really doubt..if its terror organisation, it would have gone all over the world creating problem, dreaming putting flag in every corner of the world(like AQ/ISIS/JI parivar) whole world would have known its name..Congress would have been banned it long time back..its just a political conspiracy..if tomorrow they support Congress, no one will write against them..they have hundred years of presence, if they are radicals India would have already become a pakistan by now..GHAR WAPSI is not conversion..they are not in cowardly acts..they give fiery speeches openly,if its wrong ready to be arrested..and they have religion & they are ready to accept it..there is difference between holding a LATI & holding a SWORD..and do you know one bitter truth, its because of RSS some community still united in INDIA,otherwise look at Pak,Bangla,Yemen,Syria so on..You know who is majority in Kashmir..In Kashmir RSS dont have much influence..so conflict is within sect is very visible, one of the minority sects (sufi) is in grave danger, now a days they are suppressed in every means..one of the sect can not even take religious procession (you just cant imagine it other states)..its true..

The situation in Yemen is really vulnerable now, and it is very prudent for our people to come back immediately.
Yemen's president has fled from his palace to undisclosed destination and there is a cash bounty on his head. Rebels have allowed former president to leave Yemen. Syrian rebels have seized army stronghold near Jordanian border. Our govt should forcefully bring our people back, instead of repenting later.

What someone might have said is that by creating trouble in India on religious matters, RSS is ultimately creating troubles to Hindus living in those countries.
