Mangaluru: Gurpur-based cloth merchant Gajanana Prabhu ends life

Mangaluru, Mar 26: Noted cloth merchant Gajanana Prabhu (55) was found hanging at his residence on Thursday March 26 morning.

Gajanana Prabhu was the owner of Central Cloth Store in Gurpur town. The shop is known for its wedding saris and apparels. He has been doing this business since his youth days. People from distant places come to buy from his store, especially for wedding needs.

Prabhu was also the president of district merchants’ association.

Prabhu is survived by wife and a daughter.

As per family sources, he seemed normal on Wednesday March 25 and was seen talking on his mobile phone till 10 pm. On Thursday morning, his body was found hanging from a fan.

No reason has been found yet for the suicide. Bajpe police have registered a case and started the investigation.

    We can't judge any person by his outer look, it is his emotional & mental condition, that makes him to take such extreme steps.

    People live on their and surroundings positive energy.
    To some degree, positive energy in Mangalore is declining.
