Bengaluru: Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa slams govt again

Bengaluru, Mar 27 (DHNS): Legislative Assembly Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa on Thursday criticised the government for not coming to the rescue of farmers who are being evicted from their lands by forest officials.

Intervening during a discussion on budget proposals in the Assembly, Thimmappa said, “Farmers who have applied before Bagair Hukum committee for regularisation of land should not be evicted. But there are complaints that the eviction of farmers continues. What is happening ? Where are the ministers ? Are they not concerned ?” he fumed.

Thimmappa continued, “What is the government doing? What sort of administration is this?”

Ministers, including Kimmane Ratnakar, Krishna Byre Gowda, remained silent spectators.

I noticed this Thimmayya is always criticizing Congress Govt in Karnataka as if he is working as agent of BJP. I think he has been bribed by BJP to comment against Congress on any issue. this timmayya is being favored with CM post if BJP wins next election and that is the reason this traitor is appeasing bjp boons. "Shame on you Timmayya for your power hunger. In case you dont like the present rule, you may please quite congress and join your favorite BJP, None will stop you. I think you are trying to be richer like Cheddiyurappa.

Without any knowledges to what are the functions of a "Speaker" in the State Assembly, these BJPians just blurt out anything and everything not really connected to the matter. Read their remarks here...!!!Ridiculous.
He should do only his duties as the "speaker" - 1) stop\silence the barking in the house from opposition benches. They are becoming worse than those who are in the streets.
    2) Not to allow agenda other than those fixed for discussion and until they are discussed properly - that is to maintain order throughout. Summarily throw out trouble makers in the Assembly.
In no way he should take part in debates - only vote when there is a tie.
Here he is taking sides and blaming Govt. for something which he is not supposed to do...That is against the constitution.

The way opposition took up DKR death case in the Assembly, it looked like a Police Station rather than a State Assembly!!! The Speaker should have acted then to bring sanity in the House which is one of his function. Nothing was done then.

KT is just speaker of the L.House.CM is captain of govt and state. If Speaker want to involve in day to day operations of the govt,he should resign and join with Cabinet of the Siddu and if he obsessed with criticizing the govt, then better for him to join Oppn bandwagon. There is precedent in the democracy and if they do not like to adhere the LAXMANA REKHA,then no medicine.

Why he should resign? Who made him speaker? He is delivering his duties and responsibilities. The lethargic and corrupt ministers should perform and work for the people. Why were your Ministers absent yesterday? Is cricket more important for them than people?
