Dharwad: Teacher suspended for writing exam on behalf of son

Dharwad, Mar 28: An interesting case in which a person who wrote examination on behalf of his son has come to light. This happened in Navodaya School in Navalgund in the district.

Moreover, the man who wrote the examination on behalf of his sixth standard son happens to be a teacher. He was caught red-handed. Social welfare department, after coming to know of this incident, has recommended for his suspension.

MLC, S V Sankanur, raising this topic at the legislative council session on Thursday, said that a teacher named Doddalingappa working at Navodaya school in Navalgund had appeared for examination on behalf of his son, Srinivas, a sixth standard student. He said that being a teacher, Doddalingappa was expected to plug irregularities during examination.

In reply, minister, Anjaneya, said that as the matter pertains to Navodaya schools, recommendation to suspend the teacher has been sent to the authorities concerned.
