Beltangady, Mar 30: A youth from Bengaluru who went missing a week ago was found dead in a river at Dharmasthala on the evening of Sunday March 29.

The deceased, Madhu R (19), son of Raje Gowda, a resident of Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, went missing on March 23. He was an engineering student of Global Academy of Technology, Bengaluru.

It is said that Madhu had attended college on March 20 and was at home during the weekend on March 21 and March 22.

On March 23 morning, he left from home to college, but did not return. His worried parents filed a complaint the next day in Jnanabharathi police station, Bengaluru. However, efforts to trace him went in vain.

On Sunday evening at around 6.30, the Beltangady police found a body floating in the Netravati river. Upon investigation, it was confirmed that the body was that of Madhu.

Though the exact cause of the death was not yet known, it is suspected that he might have committed suicide out of depression.

A case has been registered in Beltangady police station.

Don't come to conclusion as suicide because some vested interest groups are waiting a opportunity to tarnish Dharmastala name for their own interest.
