Pleasant Monday in Delhi, cloudy Tuesday likely


New Delhi, March 30 (IANS): It was a pleasant start to the week in the national capital with Monday's maximum temperature at 28.3 degrees Celsius, four degrees below the season's average. The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy Tuesday.

"Tuesday will be partly cloudy and there will be mist in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 31 and 17 degrees Celsius respectively," said an India Meteorological Department official.

Monday's minimum temperature was recorded at 18.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average. The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 91 percent. The city recorded 11.2 mm of rainfall since Sunday night.

Sunday's maximum temperature was recorded at 32.1 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 20.3 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
