House collapses at Maroli, Lobo promises monetary help in 3 days

Mangaluru, Apr 1: A tiled house belonging to Dayakar Bangera (46) collapsed at Maroli due to the recent rain.

Unfortunately, the family belongs to a poor background and the situation has turned worse as both the legs of Bangera have been amputated and he is on wheelchair for all his activities.

MLA J R Lobo visited the spot on Wednesday April 1 and promised to extend monetary help to the aggrieved family. He promised monetary support to the family for the immediate renovation of the house. The help will be extended to the family from the government, City Corporation and his party.

Meanwhile, Lobo asked Village Accountant (VA) Raj Kumar to come to the spot and instructed him to release maximum funds under Calamity Relief Fund for the family. He also assured of Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 under Kuteera Bhagya Yojane to repair house through Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC).

MLA also said that he would collect additional funds from the party to construct the house.

Corporators Lancylot Pinto and Keshav Maroli, Congressmen TK Sudhir, Ramanand Poojary, Krithin Kumar, Vinay Mascharenas were also present on the occasion.
