Hit by motor bike, two-wheeler rider suffers serious injuries

Mangaluru, Apr 2: Babu Rao (61), who was riding a two wheeler on the road leading to Mangaladevi temple from Indian Oil petrol bunk near Mangaladevi at around 12.15 pm on Wednesday April 1, was hit by a motor bike coming from opposite direction. It is said that the motor bike in question, which was moving a high speed, had three people on it. Babu Rao, who suffered serious injuries in the accident, was admitted into a hospital.

Babu Rao happens to be a resident of Kumpala near here. He sustained injuries to his face and head, and is recovering in a private hospital here. Reportedly, identities of the motor bike riders have been established as Tamseer (20), Afnan (20), and Ehtisham (21).

The bike riders sped after the accident. A case in this connection stands registered in traffic (east) police station here.
