Pakistan PM to visit Turkey to discuss Yemen crisis


Islamabad, April 2 (IANS): Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will be visiting Turkey on Friday for talks on the crisis in Yemen, the foreign ministry said.

"The prime minister and the president of Turkey will exchange views on the situation relating to Yemen," Xinhua news agency quoted a foreign ministry statement as saying on Thursday.

They will also discuss how the two countries can be helpful in addressing the issue, it said.

The decision for Sharif's visit was taken during the prime minister's telephonic conversation with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday.
