Mangaluru, Apr 3: The house belonging to Fakira Byary at Mooduthota in Padupanambur Kallapu near Haleangady caught fire on Thursday, April 2 causing losses worth lacs of rupees.

Short circuit is said to be the cause of fire.

The fire destroyed the roof of the house completely. The locals and fire brigade managed to extinguish the fire which saved the house from further damages.

The electricity wire connection to the house is said to have been faulty which caused the fire. The wooden planks in the roof were burnt to ashes.

Pooja arrangers owned by Jai Krishna came to the rescue with providing water for fighting the fire till the fire brigade came. But by then goods stored in the rooms had already caught fire. The local youth managed to bring few things out while fire was still on. They also carried the gas cylinder out from the kitchen averting the greater loss.

Fakira Byari’s sons are working abroad while ten members reside in the house including children.

Inspector from Mulky police station Ramachandra Nayak and Mansoor from home guards and their respective teams were of great help in bringing down the fire .

Humanity First Religion Last proved. In such situations mangaloreans get their humanity nature automatically. Due to few miscreants Religious Riots occur and we follow the rumours and wear on Religious shoes which has to stop and we should live by each other as brother sisters. Religion doesn't give us food shelter or helping hand. In some cases not even family members. Its our neighbours who come without invitation/without seeing religion to help.

By the grace of God/Allah no lives have been lost. In emergency only neighbours/locals come to help and it shows how Mangaloreans are united and peaceful. Love your neighbours.
