Mangaluru: Gold ornaments stolen from wedding hall

Mangaluru, Apr 6: A theft of gold ornaments from a wedding hall has been reported in city.

The value of the stolen items has been estimated at Rs 92,000. The incident happened at Yaashaswini Kalyana Mantapa in Arkula.

As per details, on Friday April 3, between 11.30 and 1.30 the sister of the bridegroom named Hemanth brought some gold ornaments in a bag and left in the bridegroom’s room for the purpose of the wedding.

A chain weighing two and half sovereigns, two lady’s rings weighing 3 and 2.5 grams,a gent’s ring weighing 4 grams were stolen from that bag.

Mangaluru rural police have registered the case.
