Two arrested for rape of tourist in UP


Mathura, April 7 (IANS): A hotel owner and his friend were arrested after they were accused of raping a tourist in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh Police said on Tuesday.

A medical test was conducted on Monday night and its report is awaited, police said.

Govind Nagar police station chief Harish Vardhan with other police officials took the hotel owner and his friend into custody after a first information report (FIR) was registered in the case.

According to the victim, the owner of the hotel barged into her room with his friend and raped her.
