Appoint Lokayukta in Delhi: BJP urges Lt. Governor

New Delhi, April 10 (IANS): Three BJP legislators in Delhi on Friday met Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung and urged him to ensure that the Lokayukta and deputy Lokayukta are appointed in the national capital immediately.

Vijender Gupta, O.P. Sharma and Jagdish Pradhan informed Jung that the office of the Lokayukta in Delhi has remained vacant since November 5, 2013.

"It is shocking that the chief minister (Arvind Kerjiwal), who claims to be the champion of Lokpal movements, is not appointing a Lokayukta in Delhi," Gupta said.
