Husband wife duo arrested for ganja sale in city

Mangaluru, Apr 11: A couple has been arrested for sale of ganja in city.

The persons arrested are - Aziz (37) and his wife Mumtaz (35) from Kasba Bengre near Panambur.

As per details the duo was involved i the sale of ganja at Bharathi shipyard in Kasba Bengre. Ganja worth Rs 19,000 with Rs 2,700 cash and a two wheeler vehicle have been seized from the accused.

The Panambur police team which participated in the operation included circle inspector Lokesh AC, PSI Satish MP, ASI Jayashri and other personnel Chandrahasa Alva, Radhakrishna and Rashid Sheikh.

    Islam has a total prohibition on alcohol and all intoxicants. Why these Muslims do the business of Hashish, Ganja, Charas when their religion prohibits????? Islamic country like Afghanistan is cultivating and most of them earning livliwood by selling to the others.
