Belthangady, Apr 11: Venoor police have arrested a person for the sexual harassment of his minor stepdaughter.
Rajendra Rao from Nittade is the person accused in the said case. He was the director of C A bank.
The girl aged 14 has complained that her stepfather had sexually harassed her in July 2012 when her mother had gone to her maternal home for delivery of child. The minor girl then had stayed with her stepfather. She has also said that the accused made her watch porn films during that time.
The incident only came to light after the girl narrated it to her mother after suffering from depression. The complaint was made to child welfare department which had directed the Venoor police to take necessary steps.
A case under Pocso act has been registered against Rajendra Rao.
