Rainy Sunday in Delhi


New Delhi, April 12 (IANS): It was a pleasant Sunday morning in the national capital as the city received light rain overnight.

The Met Office has forecast more showers during the day.

According to an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said, the city received 2 mm of rainfall till 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The showers are likely to continue during the day, the IMD said.

"The sky will remain partly cloudy today and light rain accompanied by thunderstorms could occur in some parts of the city."

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 20.2 degrees Celsius, slightly below the season's average.

Humidity at 8:30 a.m. was 67 percent.

Saturday was sunny and the maximum temperature was recorded a notch above the season's average at 36.2 degree Celsius while the minimum settled at 19.2 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
