Kundapur: Cash, jewellery worth lacs stolen in Matsyagandha express

Kundapur, Apr 12: A complaint has been lodged at Shankaranarayana police station regarding the theft of cash and valuables worth lacs in Matsyagandha express.

Shailaja from Hosabalu near Shankaranarayana is the complainant,

As per details, Shailaja was travelling by Matsyagandha express with her children on April 9 from Thane to Kundapur. The train had left Thane in the afternoon. She got down at Kundapur Moodlakatte station with her children at 6.30 a m on April 10.

After that Shailaja went home and later at night checked her bag which was found torn. It looked like a sharp object was used to cut the bag.  She realised that the valuables contained in the bag were stolen.

Kariamani, necklace, four bangles, pearl chain, gold chain for children, earrings, three rings, and other golden items weighing in total of around 22 sovereigns and valued at around Rs 3 lacs and a cash of Rs  7,000 were found stolen from the bag, as per the complaint.

Shankaranarayana police have registered the case.

    Polic and canteen staff are all hand in gloves.Similar case there was a robbery when i travelled to Delhi last year and total 15 bags were stolen and police were not ready to file an FIR. One of the canteen staff told us if you give 1,000/- your bags will be returned. So please take care extra care of your belongings.

    Next time keep poisonous substance, dangerous scorpions, burning acid next to the valuable ornaments. See the result, they will not dare to do robbery next time. Get all the rats out of the hole. Some times people should do recording what is going and who all are moving around, you will surely get hold of these robbers. Jai Hind.

    It is a well organized gang of Railway vendors who is committing this theft between Karwar and Udupi and Some Railway staff and Railway police are said to be hand in gloves. This gang is busy in this route since more than 10 years and they are not caught by police even once which proves police complicity.

    AGAIN..!! Robbers again started their operation in Matsyagandha Express..There was small break recently..Do these thieves carry Gold Scanning Machine to check where Gold is kept..It is a wonder how they target exact that bag which contains Gold..!! Victim might have thought that it was not safe to keep Gold at home (Mumbai)..
