Doctor couple, son from Kasargod die in Andhra accident

Kasargod, Apr 12: Three of a family from Kasargod died in a ghastly accident at Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday April 12.

The deceased have been identified as Dr Asha, her husband Dr Santosh Kumar and their son Harikrishna. Their younger son Ashwin was seriously injured.

Dr Asha was a gynaecologist at Kasargod district hospital in Kanhangad. Dr Santosh Kumar was an RCH officer at Idukki.

The accident took place between the family's car and a lorry. The family was returning after a visit to Tirupati.

Dr Santosh Kumar hailed from Pattanantitta while Dr Asha was from Neeleshwar. Dr Santosh had been transferred to Idukki four years ago.

The injured Ashwin has been admitted to a hospital in Chittoor.

The bodies have been kept at Chittoor hospital. Upon receiving the tragic news, relatives of the couple left for Chittoor. The mortal remains will be brought to Pattanantitta late night on Sunday, sources said.

    Most unfortunate accident. Three of a family to get killed at one time and the other son been admitted to a hospital in Chittoor. May their souls of the deceased docotors and son rest in eternal peace. I wishh a speedy recovery of the other son.
