Mangaluru: Drunken doctor engineer brothers arrested for acting wild

Daijiworld Media Network-Mangaluru (RJP)

Mangaluru, Apr 13: A doctor and his engineer brother went on a rampage under the influence of alcohol in city on Saturday night. They went to the extent of assaulting a policeman.

Dr Sreejit (30) and his brother Kamal Deep (24) are the persons arrested. Dr Sreejit works in a city based hospital and his engineer brother works in Delhi as flight engineer. Originally they are from Thrissur.

On Saturday night the duo while travelling in car at Derebail Konchady, spotted a huge crowd gathered for an anniversary of a youth association. The duo abused the people on the road and tried to attack two persons from the crowd. The people caught the brothers and handed them over to Kavoor police.

The brothers acted wildly even at Kavoor police station where they were taken. They tried to harm the walkie talkie and computer in the police station. The police, who wanted to prove that the brothers were drunk, took them to Wenlock hospital for medical tests. At the hospital while they were being asked to take the tests, the duo attacked Radhakrishna a police constable from Pandeshwar police station.

Separate complaints have been registered at Kavoor and Pandeshwar police stations against the duo. They will be produced in court today.

This is what the culture of the educated people. With this kind of act, they not only defamed their education and profession but also shown their real ugly face. They are engineer and doctor in city hospital. How they can handle their respective profession with this kind of behavior.
Banning liquor is out of question but adequate punishment be given to them so that they should realize when they commit such crime next time. They thought that by being drunk, they can do the way they want.No it is not possible because nowadays people are wise enough to handle the situation before they hand over to police.
But in this case, duo were lucky enough because they have not been thrashed by the public. They should have been thrashed then and there in front of the public before handing over to the police.

I have not commented to this article. Since you want it... Then my words here....

These drunkards are from Thrissur. Thrissur is not in Karnataka. These people were just acted NOT on their own but because of PARAMATMA went inside. You don't worry Rajesh. Police will take care of them.

These drunkards not asked to start an academy for them in Karnataka. They did not asked for anything else only free permission to show case their talent on the roads. Police will reward them suitably.

There is a reason for this incident so it should be considered inclusively!!

While condemning their acts done under drunken stupor, it is irritating when people totally block arterial roads while celebrating pvt. functions in public places as if it was their pvt. property, and when someone raises objections to this they are in turn abused and bullied resulting in such type of ego disputes. These guys, being drunk, got further irritated and violent as they were bullied by the crowd and then handed over to the police. If the 'so called' sober/sane people act like drunkards with sozzled people then what is the difference between the so called 'sane' people and the the boozards??

I have observed auto raja drivers getting personal and abusing passengers as 'drunk' when passengers confront them whilst being overcharged/duped just to divert attention and gain public sympathy!!! Jai Hind!!

Pardon them with a warning . They did not knew what they were doing under the influence of alcohol.Release them with a warning as they seems to qualified enough to understand the consequences of repeating their mistakes.

That's what Canada would do !! Not only because they are drunk, Canada would keep them in police station for over night or reach them their home (because they are assets of the country). India does not value people or their worthiness.

Alcohol if consumed over the limit will not care or respect one's own profession. Time to check any other missing (senior) member of the family.
