Five killed in Iraq car bombings


Baghdad, April 14 (IANS): At least five people were killed and 18 wounded in two car bomb explosions in and near Iraq's capital Baghdad, an interior ministry source said.

A booby-trapped car detonated at a park near Yarmouk Hospital in western Baghdad, leaving three people dead and 10 wounded, apart from destroying several nearby cars, the source told Xinhua news agency.

In a separate incident, a car bomb went off at the entrance of the town of Mahmoudiyah, some 30 km south of Baghdad, killing at least two people and wounding eight others, the source said.
