Woman journalist roughed up in Delhi road rage


New Delhi, April 15 (IANS): A woman journalist and her colleague were roughed up in a road rage incident here on Wednesday, police said.

The incident took place around 6.30 a.m. near Delhi-Noida border in east Delhi's Mayur Vihar area when Chanchal Saini was on her way back home along with her colleague Dilip Pandey.

Saini works as a video editor at a private news channel and Pandey is a producer in the same organisation.

"When our car reached near a park, a speeding truck overtook our car in such a manner" that we nearly had an accident, Saini told IANS.

After they managed to overtake the truck, Saini said the truck driver called his owner who misbehaved with her and also thrashed her colleague.

Police have a registered a case against the truck driver and owner.
