New Delhi, April 15 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday extended greetings and felicitations to Queen Margrethe II on her birthday, which is on April 16.
In his message to the Queen of the Kingdom of Denmark, Mukherjee said, "It gives me great pleasure to convey to you the warm greetings and felicitations of the people of India on the occasion of Your Majesty's birthday."
"I take this opportunity to convey to Your Majesty my best wishes for your continued good health and well-being and for the progress and prosperity of the people of Denmark," he added.
The president hailed the Queen's personal contribution in strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, and said he was confident that the bilateral ties would be "further enhanced in the coming days for the mutual benefit of the two countries and people".
