Beltangady, Apr 16: A road accident which occurred at Nasik in Maharashtra this week took away the life of a youth from here. The deceased is Rajesh (30), son of Rajesh from Kannajebail in Laila here,.
Rajesh was working for a hotel in Mumbai. As the hotel was closed for a few days, he had planned pilgrimage by foot to Shirdi, along with some of his friends. Rajesh and his group of friends were walking towards their destination when a truck hit the group at about 11 pm on Monday before speeding away.
Rajesh, who suffered grave injuries, breathed his last on the spot.
The deceased was unmarried, and is survived by parents, an elder sister and a younger sister. His mortal remains were brought to Laila on Wednesday.
