Udupi, Apr 17: The red carpet is all set to be rolled out for the big sizzling 'Wilson Olivera Nite' at Manipal Church ground on Saturday April 18. The musical show is being hosted by the Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh (R) and Christ Church parish unit.
Music maestro 'Sangeeth Sardar' Wilson Olivera who has entertained the Konkani audience over the years with his exceptional and enthralling musical compositions and renditions is now all set to perform in a spectacular musical show which will be held at Christ Church Ground, Manipal from 5.30 pm. The Konkani hearts are sure to skip a beat as they will witness some of the most popular and latest hit compositions of Wilson Olivera during the show.
The ceremony will be presided over by Oscar Fernandes, MP, Rajya Sabha as the chief guest for the evening.
Popularly known as ‘Sangeeth Sardar’, Wilson Olivera has seven music albums to his credit. His latest album ‘Naveekaran' has become quite popular among Konkani music lovers. Needless to say, with his momentous lyrics and melodious voice, he’s a musical heartthrob among Konkani music lovers and has been rightly conferred the title of ‘Konkan Manik’.
Winning prestigious awards like 'Konkani Kala Samaj Puraskar' in 1995, 'Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Award' in 2003, 'Divo Sahitya Puraskar' in 2008 and 'Konkani Surdas Puraskar' in 2009, he has all the more established a special aura in the hearts of the Konkani audience. He has released seven super hit music albums and led 38 successful musical shows, hosted at Mangaluru, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and now the latest extravaganza hitting a prime venue in Manipal.

'Trinity Live Music Band', the famous music troupe led by Sachin will complement the brilliance of Olivera’s music and definitely add to the overall exuberance of the show.
