Hyderabad, April 17 (IANS): A man stabbed to death a youth who attacked his daughter and two other family members in this Telangana capital's suburb on Friday, police said.
The incident occurred in Prashantnagar in Kukatpally.
The condition of the girl is critical. Her mother and another family member were also injured.
The youth, Raju, came to the house of Padmavati, with whom he was said to be in love.
After an argument, he attacked her and other family members with a sickle.
The girl's father, Vallabh Rao, intervened to save his family. He snatched the sickle from Raju and stabbed him to death.
Rao told police that Raju had been harassing her daughter in the name of love for the past one year.
Raju and Padmavati were working in a furniture showroom. The girl and her family had spurned his proposal to marry her.
