Kundapur: Curious twist to woman's death in lodge – Daughter goes missing

Kundapur, Apr 18: The incident in which an elderly woman was found dead in a well-known lodge in the town on Wednesday night has acquired a new twist. It is said that the deceased woman's daughter living in Mumbai went missing along with her two children at the same time the suspected youth from Mumbai who had come to the lodge in town disappeared.

On Wednesday evening, Lalitha Devadiga (60) from Mumbai had been found dead in a room hired by Azhar Afzal Khan alias Ajay Babu (36) said to be from Mumbai. The circumstances under which the woman died and reasons behind her death remain mysterious. Azhar, who had left room ostensibly to call a doctor to treat Lalitha, never came back. On Thursday morning, the policemen found that his cell phone had crossed into Maharashtra.

Interestingly, it has now been found that Shobha alias Vaishavi, daughter of Lalitha, who lived in Mumbai, also disappeared with her two daughters. Before leaving home, she had called her husband, but he had not received the call. It is said that after sometime, she sent a message to her husband's mobile phone, which read, 'I miss you'. Although her elder brother's house is located nearby, she had not let him know of her plans.

The fact that the youth and the victim's daughter, both of whom could have provided crucial leads, have gone missing, has complicated the case. Lalitha's son from Mumbai came to the town and visited the spot of his mother's death on Friday evening.

In the meanwhile, investigation is progressing, and it is said both the missing persons are in the outskirts of Mumbai. The police hope to nab them and reach to the bottom of the case soon.

We do not not know yet how and why mother died...

What we know ,,,there could be a strong connection between death of mother and disappearance of daughter with Children...Certainly this man is key player in this whole episode ...what is puzzling how and why he kept his baggage/Mobile phones in the room before fleeing ...so Police could trace him so easily...

As Jessy rightly said extra marital affairs mostly end up in tragedy....not worth perusing..always people pay a heavy price for it...

One more point I would like to make here,,, why a particular community has extraordinary desire to have women of other communities,,, at any cost??? This question always puzzles me...I see this every where....

Women be happy with what u have ur husband may b poor trust him. But don't run after material pleasures. It is temporary.if u run after unknown persons without knowing his background for material wealth this is the fate. U accept or not I don't care.

Jessibai well said however, the world has become so material oriented today that 'people use humans and value things' against olden times when people used to value their brethren and use things!!

Dear Rudolf you accept or not. the world became modern. we need everything instant. instant coffee instant tea, instant food, instant richness, what not? devil, who was active in those days in the garden of edens is active even today among me and you too. until if we say no he will never leave us. he may come in different forms same like devadiga family, only to destroy. we read this person helped them. who knows with what intention? now he must have done all the paper work of the property before fleeing from the scene. who knows? why ladies should trust these unknown persons? why they are not happy with what they have? I saw many women work hard daily working in houses to earn their livelihood, instead of falling prey and greed to these thieves by looking at their richness. her daughter is married with children. why she got connected with this delhi/mumbai babu?
