Beltangady: Bhagyashree death case acquires new dimension - Youth questioned

Daijiworld Media Network – Beltangady (SP)

Beltangady, Apr 18: Although it had earlier been guessed that persistent pestering by a distant relative would have driven Bhagyashree from Marodi village in the taluk to commit suicide, new evidence suggests that she took this extreme step on account of love lost. It is learnt that in this connection, Venoor police took into custody a person named Guruprasad from Sulkery village for questioning.

Bhagyashee, a first year B Com degree student of Alva's College Moodbidri had died under suspicious circumstances at her home. Her charred mortal remains were found from a room in her home. Some organizations had strongly demanded for a thorough probe, insisting that it was a case of murder. As such, the policemen had undertaken detailed investigation of the case.

Bhagyashree and Guruprasad, who happens to be the son of her maternal uncle, were reportedly in love with each other. However, of late, Guruprasad reportedly had maintained distance from her. Some had therefore guessed that upset by this development, she had committed suicide. The police found that about 3,000 SMSes had been exchanged between the two. As her own cell phone did not have enough balance, Bhagyashree had sent a message by using her mother's cell phone at 10.29 am on the morning of the day on which she died to Guruprasad, saying that it was her last good morning, and asking him to console her parents.

It is said that Guruprasad confessed during police questioning that he did not take this message seriously. It is also said that he also revealed that the death note recovered from the girl's house on April 16 was written by him.

On Friday, Bantwal assistant superintendent of police, Rahul Kumar, local police inspector, Lingappa Poojary, and Venoor police sub-inspector, Vinayak Billava, visited Bhagyashree's home and convinced her parents that their daughter had ended her life, having been frustrated at her failed love.

Nowadays the smart and rich usually implicate 'innocents' like poor Shivappa who rot in jail and the real perpetrators roam around freely!! No doubt majority of poor and gullible innocents rotting in jail are framed up cited one study.

The sudden surfacing of the so called 'note' naming a certain Shivappa after the thorough investigation/findings at the site of the incident are over could be a ploy by some smart/influential person (real culprit) to confuse things and make Shivappa a scapegoat and push the buck on him since he may be poor and uneducated!!

The above is just a personal opinion! Let thorough investigations get out the truth!! Jai Hind!!

    KRPrabhu,
Bhagyashree misunderstood Guruprasad's friendship and could not communicate her love to her parents and hence committed suicide.
Have you ever heard this happening to Anna, Mary or Jane ...

Jaiminiji, if you have got money and influence it is very easy to frame innocent and gullible chaps like Shivappa who do not have anybody to defend on their side!!

Belthangady area cases are very complicated and mysterious, appear to be in a maze that most remain unresolved!! Jai Hind!!

"It is also said that he also revealed that the death note recovered from the girl's house on April 16 was written by him."

How is the above applicable ? When did he write the suicide note if 'he maintained distance' ??

Another example that the police twist and turn a story according to their convenience, to simplify things to them-self.

However, where are those groups that insisted on investigations ? Silence ?

this could be a moronic step taken by this silly girl! But there seems to be assurance from the guy and he has indulged in this love affair willingly and promoted it until he found it usefl and then rejected it!.. Charge the guy with strictest section, abettment to suicide, cheating etc, and lock him up for few years in jail! .. that is when people will udnerstand, how it feels to be cheated!... why they can't these kids study, rather than wasting time on all these immature infatuation and love! it is a hindrance to your life! find love once you are on your own and settled in life! these kid love stories always end up in sad ending and they r forced to forget them when they grow up!... arrest the guy! let him suffer too, for sending those 1500 messages! if he is innocent, court will observe it! for now, some peace for the departed soul!

This is the real picture/reason of the unfortunate incident. Now no community org or political party or so called social agency want to buy this story. In DK/UDUPI like such incidents are flavored and painted in political lines. So many agencies vying for this issue as theirs to get political and other vested interest.
