Dubai: Sangeetha Hasya Saurabha transports audience to different world

Dubai, Apr 19: It was a special concert. It was a sweet amalgamation of two famous varieties of entertainments which are rarely seen together on stage. Famous Kannada playback singer M D Pallavi and renowned comedians Richard Lewis and Kirloskar Satya sent the crowd into a different world altogether.

The occasion was 'Sangeetha Hasya Saurabha', organized by Dubai Kannadigas at JSS School auditorium on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai on Friday, April 17. Sangetha and Hasya mean music and comedy respectively. 'Saurabha' is combination or 'jugalbandi'.

Arunkumar, Uday Ankola and Sri Krishna Udupa performed with M D Pallavi whose beautiful voice enchanted the audience. Richard Lewis and Kirloskar Satya made the crowd laugh endlessly.

Harshad Hussein and Mallikarjuna Gowda who have contributed to the cause of Kannada immensely in the Emirates were felicitated on the occasion.

The brilliant concert started with lighting of lamp. Harish Sherigar managing director of Acme Building Materials, Sathish Venkataramana from Chilly Willy, Herman Lewis from Radio Spice, Sadandas, Uma Vidyadhar,Mallikarjuna Gowda, Basavaarj Salimat, Surekha V Babu, Shivakumar, Nataraj, Dr Mohan Kudhur, Vidya Shivakumar, Bhagya Sadandas, among others were present during the concert.

    Wow, as I commented before Pallavi and her husband Arun Kumar duo was simply par excellence. We were really lucky to witness such a great concert. Pallavi you are just mesmerizingly superb.

    I wish somebody would soon organizes their HumDrum band here. Believe me it’s fantastic music.
