New Delhi, Apr 19 (NDTV): Union Minister and senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad has hit out at the Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for their attack on the government's proposed land reforms, accusing them of spreading 'white lies'.

Here are the highlights of what he said:

When Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi talk about the Gujarat model, we would like to ask what is the Vadra model of land acquisition?

How many times will the Congress re-launch Rahul Gandhi? Will he be re-packaged after every electoral loss?

Can Rahul Gandhi insult the verdict of the people? After 30 years, the people of this country have given a clear mandate to a government.

Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the people of India for insulting the most popular mandate this country has seen.

We condemn this brazen contempt against the popular mandate. Rahul Gandhi needs to understand India isn't a monarchy. It is governed by popular choice.

How did the Prime Minister insult the nation in Toronto? Did the 2G scam, Coal scam not happen during the Congress regime? It is a fact.

Where there were scams in the Congress regime, the coffers of the government are now filling up.

'Scam India' is becoming 'Transparent India'.

Land ordinance was brought to benefit the farmers.

The 2013 law will be applicable to land acquisition for corporate houses or private purposes.

Why is Rahul Gandhi speaking a white lie by stating amendment has been done to benefit corporate houses?

One goes abroad for introspection, the other for raising the prestige of the country. It depends on how you look at it.

This is a government that works. Even World Bank and IMF are saying India will grow at a faster pace in China.

If Rahul should apologise for insulting people's Mandate according to BJP Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad whom should he apologise to for laughing and enjoying the Sexists remarks of Mr.Sharad Yadav against women on the sacred floor of our Parliament. BJP dont just shock us but shame us too.
BJP also stated to Rahul they dont need a Guest Actor in Politics but dont they know people are tired of their FULL TIME Dramatics-star performances 24 x 7 - The Mandate needs Real Representatives they elected on their behalf not Self Styled VVIP ACTORS. If they are so keen to show themselves as Professionals with Amazing Acting Talents then they are all in the wrong place. Wonder if Bollywood would put them to use as Citizens of India need Politicians to take our Democarcy Forward and not focus on the Past or on the deeds of others - BJP should STOP HIDING BEHIND CONGRESS - that sounds more like THE POT CALLING THE KETTLE BLACK!
Stop looking Backward at the mistakes of the past and stop highlighting the NC whom the People's Mandate Punished believing the empty promises of the BJP. BJP should start leading the Country Forward.

modi has already sketched plans to have a newdelhi-mumbai -chennai industrial corridor.

bullet train(contract has already been given to chinese) will run from new delhi-mumbai-chennai.on both sides of railway track ,industrial corridors will be set up.

by doing this ,infrastructural issues will be solved for the industries and the bullet train costs can also be recovered therby generating millions of jobs.all these things will be operationalised on or before march 2019 as everyone know modi works at rocket pace when it comes to implementing the projects.

once it is successful,opposition parties will have no other issues against modi other than admiring him.lolz

Is this the same Modi who asked the UPA government to ban Chinese goods and buy Indian goods!?. If you want to see India in developed countries list, land reform bill is essential. Modi knows it, he may have to bear the criticism now, but in long run this is good for India. Otherwise how will you ask foreigners to come and invest in India without any proper infrastructure. Also, this is not bad deal for farmers either,since government is paying compensation which is 4 times more than the market rate to the land. Congress always follows old school method without any proper vision. Best thing Rahul and Sonia Gandhi can do to the farmers is, ask Vadra to return all the farmers land in Haryana and surrounding areas.

in every devoloped or devoloping nations, if we analyse who are awareded the maximum business contracts by political parties,who are funding the political parties or who are the owners of maximum contracts from political parties we will find not more than 5 or 6 business tycoons having lions pie.

in usa it is ford,jp morgan,warren buffet,bill gates who are funding both political parties and in return they are favoured.

in uk it is hinduja brothers,laksmi mittal,harrods are among the few persons.

likewise in india they are tatas,ruias,godrej,salarpuria ambanis,birlas,shapoorji palloonji and adanis

in every nations only few business men control lions pie.others dont have billions of dollars to invest even if they are asked to do so in india or western countries for mamooth projects.

there is nothing to make huge fuss that only these guys are running business in india.these guys are indian nationals.

it is better indias money remains in india thru these indian businessmen rather than foreign businessmen owning indias resources.

Dear Ravi Shankar Prasad, If you say that 'Where there were scams in the Congress regime, the coffers of the government are now filling up' then can you answer why your government is cutting the outlay by half to the mountain strike corps which was approved by UPA for deterrence against China!?. Why Education outlay has been reduced to a meagre amount this year!? Recently even health outlay is reduced considerably!. Can you tell if the coffers are filling up, why these reductions in critically important areas!?. Why time and again medicines, fuel prices(5 times customs duty increase!) are increased!?. I don't know how many people in this chat group really read the Land Ordinance bill!!. This bill will really help to speed up the development. Yes.. few sections are bit ambiguous where we need to propose amendments to the bill instead of this crying business..

Yes. Modi is yet to fulfill most of his promise yet, but few great success especially in foreign affairs, GDP and financial growth index was great for this 10 months..

When we criticize his bad steps, we also need to appreciate him for his good thing..

The direct deposit is in Rs. crores, so the amount seems like a very huge amount but when in dollars and in billions, very small amount. All these perpetual foreign visits are not yielding any productive result as anticipated and promised.

The reaping of another big mistake is the big bill boards of "make in India" propaganda which has alerted China and other Asian countries to take drastic actions to keep the foreign industries in those countries. If Mr. Modi kept this idea as a private matter, it would have been far better and greater.

in last 11 months, we have a working PM, who has been to many countries, where media and people followed him, attended his massive rallies everywhere, welcoming him grandly, he met world leaders and cemented India's foreign policy and friendship across globe, with few concrete investment plans! .... he spent just 45 days in his world tour! but these insecure people still ask him come back to India!...

Look, who's talking about scam! RIL just posted a net profit of 6328 crores for 4Q for financial year 2014-15, highest in the country. Thanks to leaking docs from petroleum ministry (RIL utive Shailesh Saxena in police custody) and depriving common man of the benefit of in global oil prices.The reduced prices of petroleum product in India are not at all in proportion with the crude oil prices, thereby enhancing Ambani's coffers to be filled up to the brim.

People of Amethi should feel sorry for ing him as MP as he was nowhere to be seen from past 2 months. People should not think of Rahul Gandhi too much because he don't have the charisma & ability to lead a political party, he can read only what has been given to him in writing. Does Gandhi has any idea of about growing crop, fertiliser, seeds, technology used in cultivation, does he really know the problems faced by farmers? They failed to provide basic necessity of drinking water to citizens in their rule of 60 years. People are fighting for water each & every day. National capital like Delhi is getting water through Tankers, come on grow up yaar, allow development. Poor farmers & poor citizens tired of your politics. Prices of rice, vegetables & other basic commodities growing up even we have a vast farming land. So kindly allow development of villages & to use technology in farming like per more crop. Don't keep farmers in the dark only for VOTES.
