Sunny Monday in Delhi


New Delhi, April 20 (IANS): It was a sunny Monday morning here with the minimum temperature settling five notches above the seasons's average at 26 degrees Celsius.

The Met Office has forecast a hot day ahead.

"The sky will be clear and the day will be hot. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 41 degrees Celsius," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 64 percent.

On Sunday. the national capital witnessed the hottest day of the season so far as the mercury level crossed the 40-degree-mark for the first time, settling four notches above the season's average.

The minimum temperature settled at 21.6 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the season.
