Muscat, Apr 22: Mangalorean Catholic Centre of the Parish (MCCP) under the current office Team 23, that depicts the 23 seasons accomplished by the association, is all set to provide a complete treat, continuing its tradition of fun and frolic with 'MCCP Fete', a Mangalurean Fiesta.
The event will be held on May 8, from 2.30 pm to 10.30 pm at Le Grande hall, Hotel Al Falaj.
The year 23 has been eventful for MCCP Oman through macro events rendered on international level involving entire Gulf and dignitaries, and further buckled up to quench the thirst of every Mangulurean belonging to MCCP with a personalized affair restricted for the community and parish of Sultanate of Oman. Team 23 has left no stone unturned to give the best possible in their ability and maintained the stature of MCCP, as per the standard set by the yesteryear leaders and their committees.
After the successful community events of Christmas celebrations with Workers of Love at parish level, sports day (community and at inter community events), drawing competition, Valentine’s day celebration, spiritual day, Easter celebration and Ronald Colaco felicitation programme, on cards now is a mega event for its members, popularly known as ‘Mangalorean Day’.
'MCCP Fete' is a double treat, designed as an entire day of activity, to give a platform to talents and ignite the dancer / artiste restiing for a while now. Also, it is stress buster time that would rejuvenate the participants not only physically but mentally too. The organizers also believe that the lovely camaraderie within the community will enhance through this event. "This is what makes a community strong and united, essentially required when we are away from home," say the organizers.

Session 1 - Competition Time
Competition details:
I. ‘MCCP Idol-2015’– For the tiny tots to portray their talents and skills within the time frame of 1 minute. This section is categorized as tiny tots and juniors.
II. ‘Naach- Naach’ MCCP Champ 2015 – Class 5 to class 10, identified as inters and seniors. The participants have to perform solo dance.
III. ‘Naach - Naach’ MCCP Champs 2015– Group: Class 11 and above, identified as adults. The participants have to perform group dance - Minimum 5 and Maximum 8 participants in a group. Time limit 4 minutes, plus 15 seconds grace.

MCCP encourages each and every MCCP member to participate and be the proud ‘MCCP Idol- 2015’ or ‘Naach - Naach, MCCP Champ 2015’ of the community.
Session 2 (same day) will have lots of fun games, entertainment, and prize distribution followed by dinner.
‘MCCP Talkies’, is a twist introduced for total entertainment by the members.
