7.5-magnitude quake hits Bangladesh


Dhaka, April 25 (IANS): An earthquake of 7.5 magnitude hit Bangladesh on Saturday, along with Nepal and several Indian states, bdnews24 reported.

The 7.5 magnitude earthquake's epicentre was 35 km east of Nepal's Lamjung district, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the depth of earthquake was at 10 km and measured 6 on the Richter scale in India.

Even half-an-hour later, the aftershocks continued.
