Mangaluru, Apr 26: MLC Ivan D' Souza visited the Tulu Sahitya Academy building whose construction is in progress. PWD Assistant Engineer Harish said that the third floor work of the building is in finishing stages. He also said that Rs 4 crore has been already released for the work and the remaining Rs 80 lacs will be released soon after the work is completed.
MLC Ivan D' Souza suggested to the PWD Engineer to complete the ground floor work by May 31 and release the floor to Tulu Sahitya Academy for Tulu Bhavan.
The MLC said that more funds will be required for the interior and building work and asked to prepare an estimated Project report for release of funds. The building looked beautiful with modern facilities including parking, said the MLC.
Tulu Sahitya Academy president Chandrahasa Rai, Academy members Mohan Kalbavi, Jayasheela, Raghu and Engineer Harish were present.
