Earthquake toll rises to 58 in Bihar


Patna, April 26 (IANS): The toll in Bihar following the massive earthquake in Nepal on Saturday has risen to 58, officials said on Sunday.

Besides, over 60 people have sustained injuries, said officials.

People rushed out of their houses and gathered at nearby open spaces after tremors were felt in the state again on Sunday at 12.40 p.m.

On Sunday, people were on the guard as the state government, meteorological department and disaster management departments had already sounded an alert.

On Saturday night, thousands of people in Patna spent sleepless night outside their houses following the quake earlier in the day.
