Bangladesh jolted twice after fresh tremor in Nepal

Dhaka, April 26 (IANS): Two mild tremors shook Bangladesh on Sunday following a fresh tremor in Nepal, a day after a deadly earthquake devastated the Himalayan country leaving over 2,000 people dead.

The tremors were felt in capital Dhaka and other parts of the country shortly after a 6.7-magnitude temblor rocked Nepal, Xinhua news agency reported.

According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), the first tremor jolted the country at about 1.12 p.m. for about one minute.

The second shock at 1:26 p.m. lasted for about 20 seconds.

Saturday's 7.9-magnitude earthquake in Nepal also shook Bangladesh, leaving at least four people dead and over 200 others injured.
