Kasargod: Gulf-based businessman dies in accident

Kasargod, Apr 27: A businessman from Kasargod who was based in the Gulf met a tragic death in an accident at Poinachy here on Monday April 27.

The deceased, identified as Prakash (36), died in a collision between his car and a van on the national highway.

Prakash who had a business in the Gulf had come down to his hometown only a few days ago for the housewarming ceremony of his newly-constructed house. He was supposed to return to Gulf next week.

The accident took place when he was driving back after dropping a friend at Koovathotti on Monday. The van that hit his car was moving from Kannur to Goa.

A critically injured Prakash was rushed to hospital, but failed to respond to treatment.

A case has been registered in Vidyanagar police station.
