Jamia extends online form submission date to May 4


New Delhi, April 29 (IANS): Keeping in view the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal and parts of India on Saturday, Jamia Millia Islamia has extended the last date for submission of online application forms for admission from May 1 to May 4, 2015, the university said on Wednesday.

The university administration took a decision to extend the last date to enable students from affected parts of Nepal and India to complete the process of submission, said a university statement.

The university received requests from students belonging to the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal for extension of the last date.

Many students had cited technical problems that they confronted while filling in their applications. A large number of foreign students in Jamia are from Nepal.

Online applications are invited for admissions to various undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma/certificate programmes offered by the university for the academic session 2015-16.

Till Wednesday, over 1 lakh registrations have already been made for various courses.
