Mangaluru: Two motor bike thieves arrested

Mangaluru, Apr 30: Two persons, who had stolen a motor that had been parked at Urva Store Junction in the city sometime back, were arrested by the policemen on Wednesday April 29.

The arrested persons are Sachin alias Sachchu from Shaktinagara and Ranjith from Kodikal Kalbavi.

When the policemen were engaged in the routine check of vehicles at Urva Store, the two came riding a motor bike. When they were questioned, the policemen realized that the bike they were riding was stolen one. During persistent questioning, they confessed to have stolen the motor bike, about which a police complaint had been filed on march 24 this year.

Police sub-inspector, Poovappa, and other staff of Urva station were involved with the operation. The thieves were produced in the court, upon which they were remanded to two weeks judicial custody.
