Man gunned down near Gurgaon


Gurgaon, April 30 (IANS): A 22-year-old man was shot seven times by unidentified assailants near here, police said, adding he died on the spot.

The attack took place on Wednesday night when Golu Yadav, a resident of Shikohpur village near the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway, was on his way to Guravada village in Jhajjar district to pick up his mother.

"The victim was attacked by unknown assailants near Helimandi. He died on the spot in his car," said Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Rajesh Kumar.

Golu Yadav was married last year.

His father Balraj Singh is a transporter and also runs a stone crushing business. A murder case has been registered against unidentified persons and investigation launched, police said.
