Kundapur, May 1: A group of die hard followers and fans of former chief minister of Tamil Nadu and AIADMK supremo, J Jayalalithaa, performed Mahapuja to Goddess Mookambika at Kollur temple on Thursday April 30. They sought the grace of the presiding deity to free their iconic leader from all court cases and install her as the state chief minister again.

AIADMK Chennai (south) district secretary, Bhavani Shankar, led the group of devotees-cum-Jayalalithaa fans. The fans of Jayalalithaa arrived at Kollur, and offered special prayers, Abhisheka and Naivedya services to the Goddess. AIADMK leaders, Murali Sridharan, M Muthuraman, Ritesh Kumar, and Rajesh were also present.

Priest of the temple, Parameshwar Adiga, performed puja rituals at the temple.

Bhavani Shankar said that when his party supremo was in soup in the past, they had come to Kollur and performed puja here. He recalled that immediately thereafter, the Supreme Court had granted bail to his leader. He said that the present puja was aimed at securing the chief ministerial berth for Amma again with the help of divine grace.
