'Brothers' to hit screens on August 14

Mumbai, May 1 (IANS): The date to witness all the action and bromance of Dharma Productions' "Brothers" has been set for August 14, on the eve of Independence Day.

“The Producer-Director duo of #Agneepath return with #Brothers on 14th August. Excited much,” read a post on official Twitter account of the film.

Directed by Karan Malhotra, the film stars Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff. Filmmaker Karan Johar is co-producing the film.

The film is an official Hindi adaptation of Hollywood film "Warriors" and it tells the story of two estranged brothers.

The release date doesn't come as a surprise. In the past, Aditya Chopra offered a clear window for "Brothers" by pushing the release date of his Shah Rukh Khan-starrer film "Fan" forward.
