Mangaluru: Police commissioner launches audio of Tulu movie 'Dhand'

Mangaluru, May 1: The audio release of the upcoming Tulu movie 'Dhand' directed by Ranjith Bajpe and produced by Shodhan Prasad, the second movie under the banner of Sandhya Creations after the superhit 'Nirel', was held at Sanidhya Residential School here on Friday May 1.

Welcoming the gathering, Shodhan Prasad said, "The movie conveys a message against drug abuse which is a major problem among today's youngsters."

Mangaluru city police commissioner S Murugan released the audio of 'Dhand' and said, "I am really happy to release the audio of this movie. The message conveys a meaningful message to the world. Drug abuse has been a major problem among our youngsters today. This social evil cannot be eliminated only by police, doctors or NGOs. The society also needs to fight against this evil. I wish along with giving good message to the society this movie also achieves success at the box office."

The first pack of 10 CDs was sold for Rs 10,000 in an auction to Shivdas Friends and the amount was donated to Saanidhya Residential School.

Vasanth Kumar Shetty, founder and principal of Saanidhya was felicitated on the occasion.

The music is composed by Abhishek S N, a software engineer by profession from Bengaluru, with Swapnil H Digde assisting as the music arranger.

Celebrity Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam has sung "Ninna teliken", a romantic song in the movie, penned by Loku Kudla.
Loku Kula has also written lyrics for the item song "Gammathu", a song rendered by Akanksha Badami.
The marriage song "Ora oppibokka", sung by Anoop Shanker and Pushpanjali Suchi, is penned by Rajneesh Amin, who also wrote the pathos song for the movie, "Mounada Badke Boda". U Y Ravichandran Sonadoor has written lyrics for the introductory song "Hero Yaanavodu". Both these songs have been sung by Abhishek S N himself.

Manohar Prasad, Rajesh Bhat, Sumathi Amin, Sudakar Kudroli, Abhishek S N, Arjun Kapikad and others were present at the event.
