Kundapur: Mysterious death of woman in lodge - Accused arrested in Mumbai

Kundapur, May 2: As per police sources, the main accused in connection with the mysterious death of a woman in a lodge on the night of Wednesday April 7, has been arrested in Mumbai.

Azhar Afzal Khan alias Ajay Babu was arrested in Andheri East, Mumbai by Kundapur police. The accused is likely to be brought to Kundapur on Sunday May 3 morning, sources said.

Lalitha Devadiga (60) from Gangolli dies under mysterious circumstances in the room of a lodge in Kundapur April 7. Afzal Khan, who had taken the room on rent and who had brought the lady with him the same morning, went missing soon after. Afzal was said to be a family friend of the lady. A few days after Lalitha's death, her daughter also went missing.

Kundapur police, who had to visit Mumbai and wait for days to locate the accused, managed to apprehend him ultimately with the cooperation of Mumbai police. He had also been suspected of absconding in Gujarat.

    If bail is given, then these type of criminal activities all will do at their will because there is thing call bail which is for sale with the lawyers. First of all a good term beating should be given, this is free of cost. No money at all.
